Drove 80 miles today didn't see any difference in temp, and after 40 miles at least 4 of the metal push fasteners popped out! :beep:

Thanks team, issue sorted. I flipped it around now it fits! Seems strange that the "open" side faces front. Does this rubber make any difference in the motor temperature?

It was missing when I bought the car but seemed like it made sense the way I installed it - so the "open" part of the rubber should face front?

Hey gang, I bought a GZ-712CRS Radiator Support to Hood Seal from Lawson's Restorations @ Carlisle and finally installed it tonight. 11 holes lined up OK but 2 holes in the rubber seal (marked in pics with yellow tape) are off ~ 1 inch horizontally. Did I put it on backwards or are the holes in...

Update! I was able to "stretch" the shaft by more than 1" by hitting the shaft upward while standing on the steering wheel (see pics) - not sure where zI need to be and don't want it to come out!

Thanks, the shaft is quite rigid and straight although the mesh part around it does look a little off. I have manual steering and don't know if it is the correct shaft (manual or power) or not I bought the car recently this way. Where is the shear pin and how can I tell if if it is the correct...

Hey Gang, back in Spring I first dropped the steering column to fix the tachometer and noticed that the studs and bolt that secure it through breakaway washers under the dash were all the way at one end with the shaft pulled all the way out suggesting that the shaft is too short or collapsed...

I realized @ Carlisle this year why my fuel filler tube flops about from side to side - it is missing the bracket to secure it. Now it is leaking from the gasket/seal where it goes into the tank - where can I buy the bracket and the seal?

And the push rod length should be 3.22”. What does that mean, on the new part?

Thanks, my pump was leaking bad at cold start, then turn off car, wait a few, turn back on then OK. Now it is worse... BTW, since I needed one ASAP I bought from AutoZone and Advanced Auto Parts,. which quality is better?
