    i have seen a lot of mopars burn most were saved but i know of one that burnt the car and garage bad . yes the fiber board will brake down over time and the heat from time and vibration can loosen the nuts , with that said if you go for a higher amp alt the car was designed for 65 to 75 amp so...

    there has always been a problem with the amp meter to catch the mopars on fire as the insulation degraded that separated them from ground and let the amp wires short to ground then the fire dose it to your car. replace with a volt meter and leave the stock looking gage

    i get mine at a wawa the pump is marked as AV LL 100 the ll stands for low lead so 906 stock heads will live with out lead additive just to let everyone know.

    i run av gas all the time the 451 loves it and you can ru more timing try 34 total all in at 3000 i put 5 to 7 gallon then top off with boat fuel so you come around 95 oct,

    if you want to end this problem get a griffin rad you have the best water pump now do the rad. my 451 stroker runs 170 down the road and that is with a/c and my trans goes thru the rad and you need a 180 thermostat at a stop light 195 after our 4 min stop lights hear in Florida.

    T T I is the best for fit on a mopar. hookers were good but you would need to remove header to replace starter on the T T I i loosen bolts and the stsrter will slide out if you use the mini starter it might slide out with the header tight.
