Well I posted the length of the call outs for the air grabber hood. My call outs have blank plates in them that can be taken out and replaced with screen I assume. Don't know if they are smaller in length. Think I could cut the screen to fit. There is an opening in the hood for fresh air to come...
So, you all know I have an early 69 runner that took a 68 hood. Converting to the air grabber on this car. Does anyone have the length and width of the call outs for air grabber hood. Got my screens into day and they are longer than my call outs. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Russ.
Three core copper rad. Think I have a seven-blade fan now. The shroud is aftermarket but dose the job. One thing ended up with a cracked head and replaced both heads with aluminum ones. What a difference. Compared to the cast Iron ones. Very happy motor now.
I had to just walk away many times then come back and it all went into place. Looks like good work. You can say I did this when done and driving. I tried to take a lot of pictures but just did not have the time if the car was ever going to get done. The day you get to lay down paint is when you...
Thanks Dan. See I am missing the fasteners to hold the cable with. But that is no biggie. Yes, talked with Don. Now the 3-speed wiper motor is on the way. Got to order the gasket also. Hope everyone is doing well. Russ.
So, there is no wiper motor right now. Going through the transition of putting the air grabber box on my car. Also acquired a three-speed wiper motor with button. Going down the rabbit hole and getting deeper. LOL. Good luck with the project. Russ.
So, it is getting in depth. I have open space behind the call outs where the fresh air should go to the air grabber. This hood is a 68 hood due to the 69 latch and catch was in the wrong places. After looking it is wide open to the fresh air hook up box. When measuring the hole opening it is...
This started out to be just adding the air grabber. Now find out have to change the windshield wiper motor out also. If anyone has done this would appreciate any tips you can give me. It is getting deeper.
Getting all the parts to install the N96 air grabber parts to my hood. Have the air cleaner in from ordering it. Now it is like the holy grail to find the parts for the hood. I have one located and it is being shipped and sit down the price is not cheap. Doing this because the more you have the...
mine did not have one either. But not to deceive any one it is marked reproduction with a symbol. Got it from MMC filled out a paper with all the car's up grades and date. It cost 400 dollars for the tag. Just wanted to fill the spot on the inner fender.
Replaced my quarters and many outer skin parts. Did not use the patch panels. Be it your choice but would rather have the hole panel and go from there. Best of luck with the project. It seems the longer you go the further you will get into it.
Thought I used a product called seam sealer but then it was a while ago since doing the work. The old age thing. LOL. Good luck with the project and try to make it fun and not a job.
After the restoring my runner myself. Winning trophy's and Plack's makes me proud to be a runner owner. Beating out mustangs and Camaros makes me feel good with my Mopar. I guess if you have that kind of money then so be it. At this point trying to put the air grabber on the car and it is a...
Some of the parts put on the car. Tried to take a lot of pictures but got busy just trying to get the thing done. Blanked off the fresh air duct on lower cowl. Have aftermarket auto air in the car.
