`70 road runner - finally getting to the restoration!

I gave it a quick check with a couple pry bars and sure-grip has some decent resistance but like I said - we`ll see if it lays TWO black stripes.

`70 road runner - finally getting to the restoration!

I like both but I`m definitely more of a Plymouth guy - `cudas, road runners, Superbird are my favorites.

`70 road runner - finally getting to the restoration!

Gears are bolted in, this was a used chunk I had with a 3.23 sure grip. Hopefully it will leave two nice black marks once it's up and running if not it will be getting a Trutrac installed like my Barracuda has.

    Broadcast sheet question 69 RR

Ya, if it`s not an A12 with a fiberglass lift off hood it`s been painted by some previous owner.

    Broadcast sheet question 69 RR

Are you saying the whole hood is painted flat black? I think the only option for `69 is the optional V21 hood treatment.

My 69 Roadrunner and my intro

Aftermarket body side mouldings, probably drilled holes for pop rivets. :(

`70 road runner - finally getting to the restoration!

Daytona (clone) is my buddys who lives across town, he`ll be at Carlisle as well. I`m a Plymouth guy anyway so if I ever hit the lottery I`d have a Superbird in my garage (although Daytonas are also cool).

I`m on Social Security Disability due to my bad back. I will be at Carlisle with my Barracuda.

`70 road runner - finally getting to the restoration!

Maybe next year, maybe. Still a long way to go - engine bay needs painting, ,doors, fenders need body work and hung, exterior paint, front suspension, interior, 727 needs rebuild etc.

Early or late model year 68

Found this thread with pics, maybe you can tell by where the latch goes on the tray? https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/344601.html

Early or late model year 68

vin number may get you close but fender tag or broadcast sheet will get you a lot closer if you have either one of them. Not sure what changes were made to body panels during the `68 model year?

69 numbers matching looking to modify?

At least he has cool Road wheels and didn`t have to steal the boring steel wheels and hubcaps off his grandmas car. :p

    Carlisle Time

I`ll have to write the spot # down and stop by as I`m always trolling the swap meet area. I`ll be in the E-body section with my Barracuda and hang in the E-bodies.org tent. Hopefully next year I`ll have my road runner there.
