My power steering (assist) decided to give it up earlier today. No leaks, no ruptured hoses or damaged fittings, belt in good condition, pump not squealing, fluid level appears normal, etc. ?????
What has gone away....there was no sign of imminent trouble ahead.:(
Roadrnnervet: What makes the 402 pan special. I'm was under my 70 runner the other day...checking things out. I see you're selling a 402 and I happen to have that pan on my 383. Curious...:yesnod:
I see it on the rad core support but haven't zeroed in on the trunk. Don't really want to disturb the weather stripping if I'm not certain where to look. Suggestions...
OK, so we know that Chrysler stamped the rad core support with the VIN, and also stamped the VIN in the trunk area under the weather stripping. Question, was that stamping at the trunk location consistent? In other words, would 70 owners luck up and find the mystical VIN under the weather...
Fellows I'm trying to decipher a timeline/date when this trans was built, etc.

Stamping: 0B208008
Can you tell me something about it from this?
Thanks as always...btw my runner has undercoating on it and appears to have been there for quite sometime...just saying. People get argumentative about if it was put there to hide something...etc. I say if your bird has it (undercoating) more than likely it saved it.
Really, I spoke with a Mopar RR owner from Wisconsin yesterday and he told me flat out with no hesitation the factory color was silver. I was also told it was only an option...and most left w/o it. So there is different schools of thought...thanks
