Man, that fender tag is awesome! Where'd he get it made? I'd love to make one like that for my son's '72 Demon

Glad to hear you're ditching the chrome water neck too.

Yeah, I think the owner said it was around $2500 for the setup. Out of my league, for sure

    Towed again...

Got everything going now at the new location. Still have to get the lift out of the old shop, however. Haven't been able to work on the Challenger much the past couple of weeks due to the move. I've got the engine compartment finished up for him - he had me shave the firewall and I had to...

What the heck?!?!? Isn't that like the third time that the positive cable has come loose? Talk about bizarre.

    Speedo Cable Change

It's pretty easy to replace John. Bring it by and you and I can do it in less than 30 minutes (on the lift). But I am not sure if another new one will do the trick or not. Definitely need to get another gear in there since the speedo is so far off and who knows, maybe the gear is causing the...

Need pics of Spare Tire and Jack Storage

Anybody have some pictures of the proper spare tire and jack mounting on a 69 RR? Putting the finishing touches on John's car and since there was nothing with the car when he got it and my memory isn't quite what it used to be, I sure could use some visual references. Thanks in advance

    Really strong gasoline smell

The carb actually has site glasses on the side for adjusting the floats. For the fuel/air mixture, you can tune it by ear (if you are good - sorry but I'm not, Jimmy is) or you can tune it using an exhaust gas bung. Jimmy mentioned when he was here one day that he thinks Pro-Systems likes to...

    Really strong gasoline smell

George is probably right about the floats - they probably need to be set. I'll have Jimmy come by and help me with the carb when you bring it up. My shop probably has better air flow with the roof vent so we never noticed it here.

    Help with Wiper Motor

It's amazing how something so little can be such a pain in the butt. Took me about 2-1/2 hours to iron out the issues with that stupid washer switch. You know because you never think something brand new could be broken...

    Quick Engine Shot

The fans work great. I was stuck in stop and crawl traffic the other day when it was 85 degrees outside and the temperature gauge never went over 195. The black alternator came from Summit IIRC. Not too happy with it though, we had it tested and it's not putting out enough juice especially...

So she's alive. Won't be long. I HOPE.

Still got a few things to work out for John - need to install a new parking brake cable once it arrives, need to remove and re-lube the speedometer cable, still have to install the sun visors and spare tire. Plus, to replace the rear yoke u-joint straps with the girdle setup he got from Summit...

    Help with Wiper Motor

Got the squirters working today too! Had to replace the brand new switch - it had literally fallen apart. Also, found out that the throat on the repro washer button was a hair too long. Once the button fully seated on the switch it would not depress far enough for the switch to make contact...
