I like what the guy in the book "Project Charger" did. He put the face of the stock AM in the panel so it looked like the original radio, but just used the face so it was flat on the back, kind of like pulling the radio off with the panel and cutting it off flush with the panel on the back...
Well.....My wife always asks me why I can't buy something already completed, restored, finished, etc. She has labeled me a "Turd Polisher". She says everything I buy is a big pile of sh*t and all I do is polish turds(take something old and junky and put a shine on it and pretend it's new)...
What about late '69? I got a set with my '69 I just bought and I kinda like how they look but if I'm not going to have "correct" wheels I'm going to go with something a little more flashy.
I don't know the answer to that question, but I do know that my hood is shot so I have to get a new one anyway. The front edge underneath us rusted through all the way across. It's two seperate pieces of sheet metal when you open the hood and you an get your fingers between them.
