No, the quarter fits nice to the wheel well and extensions, from the inside. The inside lip on the wheel well and the lip on the quarter is almost perfect in the front, then as you go up and over to the back they are almost an inch away, would make it difficult to weld.

The old outer wheel well was cut and half of it was replaced with new coming out exactly where the old one was.

The quarter is a 3/4 skin includes the wells, I also put on new wheel wells or partials on. Even with the new quarter off and I lay the new wheel well inside it doesn't fit up tight still has the gap. Both sets are from AMD.
