That’s where I disagree with you fellas, it’s a mostly original, matching numbers V code 70 convertible, with auto trans. 1 of 14, mostly original, and the only burnt orange one made, that’s $100k territory easily. And, it already sold, so we can only discuss the past anyway!

I was under the impression that all 440+6 cars came with DANA 60 rear ends, this one has an 8 3/4
Nope, all automatic cars, even Hemi cars came standard with an 8 3/4”. Here is the packages that were available on all performance cars of the late 60’s and early 70’s. And no, you could not order just a Dana rear without buying the package

Ok, thanks. My 69 1/2 A12 Super Bee came with a Dana, I just assumed all 440+6's and Hemi's came with a Dana

I had a conversation with a very knowledgeable A12 lover, and to my amazement he revealed that even A12 automatic cars had an 8 3/4”, whereas I thought they all came with Dana’s. You learn something new every day I guess.

Was the Dana an option back then. Know when going to the dealer they would sit you down and show the options that where available to you. Like A/C was not standard on a lot of cars.

The 4:10 geared 9.75 was part of the A12 package no matter what transmission.
