When I first bought the car, I was having a draw/short and found it coming from the interior lights. Found the dome light was a dual filament bulb and was not working, switched the bulb around, and it worked, and the draw went away.
My question is, that the dome light only has one function, why should it have a dual filament...
Can someone check their dome light bulb and see if theirs is a dual filament.
Not sure if it matters, but my car has the light package.
Thanks,
Ivan

There's a bulb list in the back of the electrical section of the Service Manual.

I think it's a 1004, which has a dual contact, but it's not a dual filament.

John,
Would it matter if the contacts were swapped around causing a draw?

The bulb should go in either way without any kind of problem.

A bulb that has to go in one direction only will have a staggered height on the index slots in the socket. Like a brake light/tail light dual filament for example.
