I have a 69 RR. The numbers I see on the tranny do not match any I see on the casting numbers sites.
They are H4 C99129 and 956642 that I can find. Can anyone ID this?

Go to the passion site and maybe that will help you decide what it is. Or give them a call they are good people and they specialize in these transmissions. No 833 stamped any where look around the tail shaft for the numbers behind the shifter plate. Other numbers are just casting numbers. Hope this will help ya out Russ. :drama:

Those are just side cover tail or housing #s pretty common for early 4 speeds. What is on the machined surface near the fill plug.

Yea mine came out of a runner the guy put a 5 speed in the car. Think I will go with the gear vendor. I know it was discussed in other forum's and sounds like the way to go. :D
