69 roadrunner was the first superbird clay mock up

Great stuff! Man, I love the internet for stories like this. Makes you wonder what kind of other info is out there floating around.
 

I saw that story a few years ago on the B Body site.I think they have pics of the '68 Charger that was the first 500.
 
There is a 69 in a junkyard near me that had a wing on it at some point. Owner of the yard knew the guy and it really was a SB wing on there.
 
I'd love to find a '68 or '69 runner in a yard around here. when an old Mopar comes in, it looks like the Thanksgiving Turkey the day after within a week.
 
I guess this is less of a yard and more of a backyard with 20-30 cars in it.

I did see about a 74 Cuda rotted into the Earth in a commercial yard in E KY a few years back.
