Hypothetical question....Could a mis-matched torque converter be the culprit of a sluggish/bogged down feel...on initial accleration? I know I'm probably really reaching with this one but it is possible that the factory converter was replaced for whatever reason over the past 46 yrs.
I've always had manual transmission when it come to hp cars. I've read where high stall speed converters are widely used on high hp set-ups.
Is there a simple check to determine an otherwise stock converter in this 727?
