727 transmission filler tube / speedo gear

So the filler tube on the 727 I purchased last week had pipe thread tape around the bottom of the filler tube to keep it snug. Well, I removed that along with the pan and filter to inspect what I just bought.
Now the filler tube is kinda loose, it still has the little rubber "O" ring, and the hole in the trans body doesn't seem F'ed. Should there be another rubber grommet? Is this tube incorrect?

Anybody have a 727 dip stick?

Anybody have a red 36 tooth speedo gear?

There should be a tab that bolts to the bell housing to support the dip stick. They are all a little sloppy. A new o ring will most likely take care of it.

Look on ebay for a pinion.
