Which is the better 904 or 727? If I have a 904 will the 727 interchange without a problem?

904 will only bolt to small block or slant six.

Are you going to race it or drive it. Some racers like the 904 because they are lighter but they need better internal parts for that purpose. The 727 is bigger thus stronger and you having a 318 (small block) you do have a choice if you have the small block bolt pattern 727.

Not going to Hot Rod it just wondered if I change out and say I put the 440 in it....... or if I elected to put a 340 in it depending on money.
