Seems there were questions about the authenticity of the fender tag and engine stampings. The bid only went to $91,000.

a previous owner said it picked up the new tag later. It’s obviously a known car
Saw this on another forum about the same car:

"My old car. It’s gorgeous and a real car. I’m sure repop tag was due to old tag being not legible. Body numbers match, trans number matches. Vin stamping on block matches but font is questionable. It is what it is, it’s a 50+ year old car that was restored in the 90s. Worth every bit of the price it’s at and more."
