What is up with all of the A12s for sale on e-bag right now? Two out in Tucson (Rallye Green and Buttersnot) and a really nice B5 RM23 version down here in Fla with a BIN of only $47.5K...???

Well, we're in complete agreement on the last part of your sentence...but already having one in the garage I'm much more comfortable when really nice examples are commanding $100K+...like they were just two short years ago... High-end musclecar prices are like everything else in this economy - they will eventually come back provided Hussein & his concubine Pelosi don't completely turn us into the United Socialist States of America...

Since you brought up the deception of the American people(again :lmao: ), did you ever see the Jim Carrey movie "The Truman Show"?

Maybe I can snag one now.

Me and my Dad went to Cincy in 97 and looked at an A12 for 4200 bucks. Yep, 4200. Decided it needed too much work, even though it was all there except the numbers engine. I had my first RR then and it was in better shape.

But get this, that 4200 car had a running 68 440 under the factory carbs, a 4 speed poking out the console, still had the Dana in the back, and was a red on black car with original paint. Of course the body was trashed but it came with not only a parts car but a bunch of new metal, likely all that would be needed. But it did have some hard repairs to be made around the C pillar, etc. It did have new aftermarket wheels and tires.

What a snag that would have been. Real kicker was that it was sole new to somebody about 25 miles from where I grew up...

Oh yeah - like the '70 Cuda my dad had a chance at in '71 when we were looking for a car for my mom. Too bad it was Plum Crazy with a black vinyl top, Rallye wheels, "gill" rocker moldings, wheel lip moldings, a 440-6 BBL, black buckets, console, and an A-833 4 speed with pistol grip shifter. Dad said to me "your mom would kill herself in this thing." He was probably right, too! I begged him to buy it - even suggesting he trade in his road runner (the Q5 car) for it. He wouldn't do it. :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall:

AZ Desert,
These sales always come at the wrong time, the guys thought they owned a diamond mine three years ago and should have sold. Now they are down in value and they have to sell! Then come the buyers that think everyone is desperate :cents:

Hey Chris - here's a serious A12 Project for you...buttersnot, grannymatic, everything is gone...nothing in the world to keep you from stabbing a 528 with Indy heads in there... :D

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Plymouth ... sQ5fTrucks

Current bidding is only up to $6,500...so it's well within your price range...and you love to cut and weld so this one might just have your name written all over it...

Nice to get to meet you in person the other day - looking forward to hitting some of the cruise spots in SoCal with you! I'm already heading back out there Tuesday believe it or not...but the schedule will not allow for any fun car stuff while there... :leave:

And just a quick market update for any of you that are interested in A12 values... The following is excerpted from a post on the A12 Forum. This was just written by Joe Carroll who owns Best of Show Automotive:

"Thought I would give everyone an update on our internal sales over the past 90 days ....

1. In May, we sold a non numbers matching Superbee 4 Speed, Torred, for $85,000.00.
2. In July, we sold the non numbers matching Superbee 4 speed, Bahama Yellow (Mopar Nats 2nd Place) for $105,000.00.
3. Last week, we purchased, for a customer, the white vinyl top Superbee 4 speed in Wisconsin, numbers matching, for $70,000.00 and will be doing a full ground up restoration on the car for the customer.

While the market is down slightly right now, there is a significant boomerang effect coming. We anticipate a significant drop in value of the U S dollar over the balance of 2009. This will create a favorable situation for foreign buyers, who will be looking to trade in a few trillion depreciating U S dollars for hard assets here in the U S. Expect a run up in prices on these cars in 2010."

Just FYI...

Thanks Ray, i am watching intently maybe I will have to take a flight to see it. As long as its legit i dont care what its missing, its just an excuse to put ridiculous power to it and make laps at Irwindale! Let me know in the future and we'll do some cruises and collections around here and tell more ridiculous stories about crap weve owned in the past! :blah:
