Never got my hands on one of his AKs but my brother has a couple and likes them.

Their reliability is amazing,AK's will shoot any crappy ammo you throw in them,but if you want to hit anything with it be prepared to do some work.I on the other hand have owned the AR platform,very accurate,but fussy in regards to ammo and keeping it clean and well lubricated.
