Antenna type?

What is the correct antenna, fixed or telescoping? Did it vary based on radio option, or was one standard for the 69 model year?

Mine had a solid mast with the AM/FM option no clue about the others

Mine is a telescoping one with a ball on the top in more of a teardrop shape. I bought it nos in the original package for $15 from a friend. I have seen solid one's as well with a round ball on top. Not exactly sure which is correct. May depend on the radio option. :huh:

It seems that the prices for a new antenna are either $20 or $135, and nothing in between.

Antenna is on my list of things I still need.

Anyone recently purchase one they're happy with? Please share a link...

The $20 ones look nothing like the orignal. They have a black plastic base which allows them to be adjusted so that you can have them be straight up no matter what the fender surface is, more of a universal fit. The expensive ones have the correct bezel and look as compared to stock. I just bought one of the more expensive ones off e-bay, $85 + 10 S&H. He normally sells them for 105 + S&H (buy it now) so since this one was an auction starting at $85 I took a shot. I will post an update once I recive it.

I went with the telescoping since I have an AM only car.... Thanks for all the input.
