I have to replace the backup light switch on my 69RR 4-speed. I notice it has a rubber o-ring for a seal. Was wondering how much to tighten it. its a 15/16 socket size and will be using a short ratchet by hand.

Thanks Tom C.

Did not see torque spec. on the reverse switch in my book. 10 to 20 FT Lb. After all it is only holding it self in not like a bolt that holds two pieces together. I just tighten mine till it stopped with a standard size ratchet wrench. With a little extra force.

Yep All Set !! Thanks for the replies, Went in easy by hand and just a slight tighten with a 15/16 socket !!!

Hey Russ I t screws into the side of the 4-speed trans. for the reverse lights , Yes new from Napa

So dose the reverse lights work now. You said that you had a problem with the old one rite. That is why I put the new one on mine plus a different speed o gear. Due to the rear end gear change. Keep that runner running guy. Russ.
