I've used the search function and can't find the answer so apologies for yet another backspace question.
I'm looking to buy some new wheels for the Runner. The Cragers I have on there now are 15 x 7,235/60/15 front with 4" backspace, rears are 15 x 8,275/60/15 with 4.5" backspace.I get no rubbing issues at all even on full lock with this set up :yesnod:
I can get 15 x 8 with 4.5" backspace on the new wheels for the rear so no problem there, the 15 x 7 fronts however come with either 3.5" or 4.5" backspace not 4".Which would be the size to go for bearing in mind I want to run the same size front tyre as before?

Steve, I run a 15" X 7" w/ 3.5" backspacing up front w/ no issues. My tires are 70 series, not 60 series, but I doubt the extra little bulge in the sidewall or wider footprint will cause you any issues. I say go for it.

Should be fine. That's what mine are and my tires are 255/60r15.

Are you suggesting they should be sent back to where they originally came from!!! :jester:

well the two I got from Bahama were "Made in good 'ol Mexico"......
and I hope shipping across the pond won't be too bad...my Magnums just might be going to Germany and a set of Cragars comming back my way...
