Bad Alternator.

So, after 2300 miles my Classic industries alternator took a dump. Had read bad reviews about them. Now I know for myself. My alternator man says it is not rebuildable. Looks like they cleaned it up and put new diodes in and painted it. Then shipped it out. The bearing was shot in it that made the stator move and cut wires. So, have a rebuilt one coming in tomorrow. The alternator man I use has worked on many things for me in the past. I trust his work and what he sells me.

Is it safe to assume it was a "rebuilt" alternator?
