While the car is believed to be gone, I'm posting this 69 Road Runner engine block in the event someone who owns an LA built 69 Road Runner Spring Special Paint Order Code "99" and is looking for a close match to their broken or missing 383 HP Road Runner block.
Here are the details:
- Y39 "99" paint code Road Runner RM2?H9E140705 built February '69 in LA
- 9E140705 was a 219 (Wed. 2/19/69) scheduled RR & the "E 383HP" engine assembly date (Mon. 2/3/69)
- LA plant is known to have very poorly stamped VINs. The "F" is a poorly stamped "E"
- "the 2,000+ special order paint (Bahama yellow, rallye green, Omaha orange, corporate blue) '69 Road Runners from LA were assigned VINs in batches, RM23H9E140704 is a restored "Omaha orange" Road Runner". The sister VIN ending in 705 is believed to be Bahama Yellow.
