Does windshield get a bead lock?

Installed the windshield today using Year Ones "precision replacement parts" gasket. It did not come with the locking bead.... Do these cars use one?

Just had the windshield replaced on mine and it did use a bead lock (if I'm understanding what that is correctly). I watch him install it and he folded the gasket in on itself. Said it was self locking or something like that. I got my gasket from Classic Industries.

It should be a little plastic strip that locks into the windshield

nope..no bead lock. the 70-90 D series trucks use one, but not the cars.

Has one built into the gasket you fold in. Here is the last couple of inches of the lock at the top before going in
