Early or late model year 68

I need some help with my RR, I'm trying to figure out if it's an early 68 or a late 68 by the vin so I can order correct body panels for it, can anyone help me out on this issue?
 
vin number may get you close but fender tag or broadcast sheet will get you a lot closer if you have either one of them. Not sure what changes were made to body panels during the `68 model year?
 
What would be different? Post or hardtop would be the only thing I can think of.

I do have the fender tag,I'm trying to order the hood, but I'm seeing that there are 2 hoods for the 68, one is 68, and the other is 68-69, I just wanna make sure I get the right one, so I don't have to make any changes on the hood latch
 
Measure from some bolts to say the drivers edge of the hood and I'll compare them to my 69 or you can compare to this pic

I can only measure from where the latch on the grille support is located, the hood that's on it is complete junk, the owners that I bought it from removed all structure from under hood, and used L brackets to bolt hood on to car, I'm replacing hood and both front fenders
