What do you guys use for gasket sealant on your oil pan, valve covers, water pump etc.....I'm finally getting around to putting my motor together.

when I worked at the IH truck dealer, one old time mechanic used Permatex weatherstrip sealant. Said it never leaked, but was a bitch to get back off.

I use the RTV but I use the orange on my engines that are orange like in my 69 vert and black on the ones that I paint black like in my 68 wagon and the blue on the blue engines like in my 72 truck.
That way if there is any showing it doesnt show so much.
