I passed at least 3 speed checks on the trip. and they were with in 1 mph ar 65 mph. so I believe it to be very accurate.

My new in 69 RR: 383/727, 3.23, PS & PB, got 12 to 14 mpg around town and 16 to 17 mpg on the highway using 104 octaine 1969 gas.

My current 69 RR: 383/727. 3.23 gets 9 to 11 mpg around town and 11 to 12 mpg on highway using 93 octaine 2009 gas.

Octaine down 11% but mileage down 25% think there is any connection?

That's a trick question. Right? They keep talking about making cars that get better gas mileage, but then keep pushing gas blends that give less mileage. That just don't add up! An oxymoran if I ever saw one.
