I was checking some more things trying to find why my gas gauge doesn't read properly. While looking behind the gauges I noticed what looks like a condenser on the left side by the amp meter and voltage regulator but is not connected to anything. Should it be connected somewhere, and what would it's purpose be? I haven found it on my schematics. Thanks.

It's a condensor for radio interference.

Seems to me that it plugs in with the voltage regulator, but I may be mistaken.

I know what you mean Dave. That's what I did when I changed the Voltage reg. The fun part here will be trying to keep that connector in place while I put the voltage reg back in.

Probably pulled it out when you changed the regulator.

Let's ask this... Is there any static in your radio? If there isn't, don't get real excited about putting it back in.

Steve, since you bought one of the those cool new repro radios with all the modern circuitry at Carlisle, maybe you won't need the suppressor?

That hasn't been any static so I guess I'll leave it out for now!

Yeah Craig, I hope not! Haven't taken time to put it in yet.
