Howdy, Born and raised in orange county and have wanted a Runner since I was wee lad.
Unfortunately I've never had the opportunity to purchase one, and would very much like to change that.

I've also worked on a few mopar with my brother so my thumbs aren't entirely clean.

Welcome.... keep an eye out for one as I wasn’t looking when I came across mine. Hell, I was looking for an old wagon when she showed up at the auction.

Well Just to say their has been a few on E bay Auto. Just to say Mine was local and in rough shape. What are you looking for one restored or one that need's work. Will Keep my eye's open.

Yeah I've seen the eBay listings, usually pretty questionable or not what I'm looking for. Everything else is snatched up in hours haha.
Restored at best Rolling restoration at worst, Definitely looking for a manual though.
Honestly I've pretty much given up on local, what with having a full time job I simply don't have much time to go look at anything before someones already bought it.

I here that Mute. I looked and was going to buy one restored but the bank would not loan money on a car that old. I looked every where all over the US and was going to fly to a few places and look at what they had. I mean they wanted 15K for rough cars and motor and trans where gone. Also ran into a couple of scams. So beware. Never send money to someone saying their out of country and want you to put the money in an escrow account. Also if you cant touch it and see it in person beware. Well hope you find what you are looking for. Mine is an RM 21 post car with 383 four speed. So If I see any thing will send it your way. Russ.

Try Hemming's Auto Auctions https://www.hemmings.com/auctions?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI6pWIqrOG5wIVj8hkCh2BswQAEAAYASABEgJ63PD_BwE

They are not all auctions and there's some really nice ones that shouldn't break the bank. For something in Hagerty "Good" condition will cost you $30K. That's probably what you will want if you want a driver. DO NOT look here is SoCal. The prices here are absolutely ludicrous. You will have to look elsewhere. Try focusing on Arizona or Texas cars. The prices there are much more reasonable and you'll have better body conditions with less rust. Good luck! Might see you at a show or two as my Finacee lives in Santa Ana and I live in the High Desert. I'll be taking mine around! I'm really jazzed.

Was also knocked back by the bank a coiuple times. Saved a bit more, and they ended up doing a 60/40 loan for me. Interest was a bit more, but at least I got it. Now the car is paid off, its a decision Ill never regret!
Definitely a fan of the 4-speed variety Mute, hope you find something that fits the bill. took me 4 years.
