I'm from alberta canada, been working on a ton of different old cars for multiple people, I own a 67 impala 2 Dr fastback to restore as well, however I am a diesel mechanic up here also.

I just recently picked up a 71 road runner that has the following on the cowl tag:
RM23:
Plymouth Belvedere,Satellite
Medium, Road Runner
2 Door Hardtop

N1R: 383 300HP 1-4BBL 8 CYL
1971
Windsor, ONT, CAN

132657:Sequence number

E65: 383 cid 4 barrel V8 300hp
D13: 3 Speed Manual Transmission-Floor Shift
EV2: Hemi Orange Exterior Color
H2XW: Trim - High, Vinyl Bench Seat, Black/White
TX9: Black Int. Door Frames
A07: Build Date: October 07
B34499:Order number

EV2: Hemi Orange Top Color
C: Canada Specifications
22: Unknown
F81: Unknown
G36: OS Dual Racing Mirrors
J81: Rear Spoiler - Wing Type

M21: Roof drip rail moldings
N41: Dual Exhaust
R11: Radio Solid State AM (2 Watts)
V21: Performance Hood Treatment
V8W: Tranverse Stripes, White
END: End of Sales Codes

Found it quite interesting that the ho 383 was mated to a manual 3 speed. And upon further inspection I think/believe the car was ordered that way to drag race only.

I'm going to be looking for a ton of parts for it and have already contacted tonys parts in the us and found fiberglass fenders in Ontario, Canada.

thanks

Spencer

welcome. the three speeds are rare as most wanted the 4 speed, but IIRC the three speed was cheaper so some went that way.

3 speed man trans became standard equipment on Road Runners in 1970 to keep the list price down. Nice project, and welcome to the sight.
