Did they ('69's) come with under hood insulation? I can't recall if my first one in '69 had it or not. The one I just bought doesn't and I'm debating if I should put it on my "to do" list.

All of them had hood pad except for those with the air grabber option. And of course the A12 cars didn't have it either.

my dad's was a 383 4 speed stripper (almost no options) and it didn't have a hood pad. Mine is a highly optioned 383 and no mention of a hood pad on the build sheet. I think it might have been mandatory for California cars but don't hold me to that. I have seen many a road test back in the day and those cars didn't have any hood pads on them either.

Well, there's a definite maybe. Hope MC is correct so I won't feel so bad about not having it. :)
