Interior of drivers door, remote mirror?

What is the small hole directly above the hole for the mirror remote? Does it belong there? Or should it be welded up? I do not have a mirror yet.

There should be a small rubber plug to fill the hole to the left. That is to access an Allen screw for window installation and adjustment. Not sure about the one above.

A slightly modified Bic pen end cap will work well if you don't have the plugs.

I have the same hole on my valiant. Looking at the mirror I'm not sure what its for but it belongs there
