Ok...I've waited for an R4 runner since the early 90's.
Took the car in last night to the paint shop. Pouring rain, miserable
weather that we've had around here, I was tired of waiting. Some guy
in my storage facility refused for around 2 weeks to move his car. Finally
got his a** out of the way and now my team has it.

Here's the deal:
Engine out
Doors off
Fenders off
Deck lid off
Hood off
Vinyl top off
(No, it's not rotisserie. I'll live).

Soup-ta-nuts, car is getting done.
Estimated date of completion: 6/15/11. Keep your fingers crossed that
I don't have too many crap, unwelcome, expensive surprises.

As it goes, pictures will go up. Holy cow, it's finally happening.

Good luck Sam, you don't want to rush it but you don't need it in paint jail either.

good luck...take plenty of :red2: for the pic whores...I can't wait to start on mine, but not eager to find any surprises.

Way to go, Sam!!!

Very happy for you. Like everyone said, take lots of pics and enjoy the ride!

Not doing the hood stripes.
-but-
I am thinking of putting the black hood patch
on like a '68. What can I say? I like how it looks.
And as far as originality goes, not too worried about
it. Chrysler Corp. doesn't own the car anymore.

Its your car and your choice but I like a plain hood or the 69 stripes. Just sayin :cents:
