Just looking over some. Topics in this forum is a big surprise here in Australia you see we're not allowed pistols,semi auto rifles....we can own the odd .22 but limited ammo, that's if you can find a gun shop. iHeard over there they sell all this gear at wal mart stores is this true.

All true. But ammo doesn't stay on the shelves at wally world for more than two minutes after it comes in and they haven't been stocking any semi-auto rifles since the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy, at least not around here anyway...

Yeah, same here. Guns are pretty much back in stock now. Ammo however is still pretty scarce. And yes, several of my long guns have come from Walmart over the years.

Some Walmarts, but not all. Our local Walmarts sell ammo but no firearms. That may be because our state laws are tougher. Some other stores will sell long guns for hunting, but hand guns are pretty much a gun store item.

Picked up a Henry lever action at Walmart a couple weeks ago, and they were the only ones to have one. Picked up a 40 smith an Wesson at our local sports academy last week. So they are pretty plentiful if you have the $$$. Now the ammo is the hard part.
