Is there any way to fix an oil pan plug that just won't seal? I bought a new 402 pan and cannot get it not to drip. Already tried different gaskets. It's just a plug issue. Thanks.
I had the same problem with the plug on the oil pan.
I tryed over size plugs, gaskets, plugs with smaller plugs in them, etc.
After trying almost every thing I finally found a product that worked
It's called a "Time-Sert". It came in a kit with drills and taps and every thing needed
I'd try the simple solutions first.
I don't recall where I purchased it, but it should be on the web.
Good luck.
Have you tried a new Mopar drain plug? Its rubber coated and it has sealed even the most stubborn leakers. Its used on every newer car that Mopar makes. I always ask for a drain plug for a 1994 5.2 Dakota.
