I think 120 lbs is about right for a male. My guy was 170 lbs at 1 year and grew to a svelt 237lbs.

He is an English Mastiff. We have had him for about five years now and are really attached to him. He is pretty big but a really gentle dog. I walk him without a leash and he just walks along side of me every day. He is probably the best dog we ever had.

I will second George's comment on poop. I will clean the back yard every week or two and remove 30-40 lbs of poop at a time. It's quite an impressive amount.
