Pro comp heads

have seen a 440 reconditioned engine for sale ( hard to get in Aussie)that has new pro comp heads.I questioned with someone in the know ,and was told to walk away .Are they really that bad.

Can't help you no experience with them.

Had a set of those heads a few years ago. One had bad machining that caused a gap issue at the intake on one side. The head angled away from the intake at rear of engine just a couple degrees but enough to deem that one junk. The vendor replaced the head and the new owner of the car is still running them.

Doesn’t sound too good,not worth the chance.
