Pulling my A833 trans.

Can I pull the trans. if taking the shifter loose and disconnect the shift linkage loose. Hope I can sneak the trans. out. Need to do a seal replacement on the front shaft. I have a console and really don't want to pull it if I don't have too. Thanks for any input. Russ.

It seems like you should be able to. With that said however I pulled my console last time I had my transmission out.

Why don't you remove the shifter? Thats not that much work at all.

You would have to disconnect the exhaust to tip the engine far enough to clear the the cross member. Take the shifter off.

Russ it seems like everyone has covered it. But I would remove the shifter handle, remove the transmission crossmember and unbolt the transmission. Support the bell housing. That's it
