Is there a color to the rear tail lights or are they supposed to be like that yellowish galvanized color? Also what about the inner reflector? is there a paint we can get to restore that section?

I don't know what year you are talking about, but I put some aluminum tape on the inside of my '69 tail lights to increase the reflectivity and make them a bit brighter.

69, I am trying some of the argent silver first. Seems dark may switch to something like duplicolor's silver chrome like stuff for the reflector. Hard to tell just what the aged iridite really is. its almost like a galvanized yellow/green maybe the zinc process? Also going to try this stud and nut kit from Partsmix I have all but one stud but missing 2 nuts and the all the caps.

How they were when pulled

Those reflective dishes seem rather dull. I would think you want something as highly reflective and polished as possible.

Another thing I thought of (but have not tried) is to wrinkle up some aluminum foil. Then carefully open it and use it as a backing. I suspect the many facets might brighten it up a bit as well. Just not sure if it would be better or worse than a smooth surface.

Can go digital with a set of lights from digitails. They can even be set to do a sequence when applied.

Need more info on it, from what I hear you can go all LED and halo heads etc but have to swap out to a specific flasher and other stuff? maybe some relays or something for the headlights? not sure would be nice to see a full wiring and write up on it. I tried the LED lamps in the tails once without changing the flasher and that caused all kinds of discomfort for that old 69 circuitry lol didn't like it at all They were much bright though. I don't drive much at night but it would be nice to b able to see 10' in ront of you and not have to worry about a faster car ramming up your ass because the tails are dim. :bump:

I have installed the leds in my taillights and they look great. digitails comes with complete set of boards and harness. yes you do need to update the flasher if not set for leds yet. as for changing front headlights try dan stern lighting website. has a lot of wiring diagrams and info there. ps tail lights look great

So I found some silver or chrome metallic paint at Ace Hardware today, put 3 coats on it. the picture doesn't do it justice my camera sux and it started to rain right after the 3rd coat so right in the middle of dinner I had to run out and grab them, but I was able to see them on coat 2 in the day light and it looked shiny. I was also able to stick a lamp in one and get a pic and it's pretty bright at least no less than original. If I switch to LED i'll try to post up some more pics.
