reversing lights

When put into reverse gear my rear reverse lights do not work and yes their are globes inside......does this work from the transmission or what?
 
Yes. Please refer to the attached photo for the location of the switch. A727 is similar - the automatic pictured here is an A904.
 
Should you find the switch bad, it is still available from the dealer. Part number is 1-04373814 and here in Houston the price is $17.20. Ouch!
 
Check the harness. Mine worked but the harness looked like a dog chewed on it. A buddy told me that the lights were coming on during gear shifts when he followed me one day. Then I was ou and it rained. Had a short and The harness was it. I got a new one from YO for 35 bucks. That was 6 months ago. Maybe I will find time to install it.
