Was wondering what is proper road etiquette when an older chebby or fork car pulls up next to you? Do you wait for them to give a kudos or what? Do you just blow by them?

Or how about when some smart ass kid in one of those tiny Japanese front wheel drive cars pulls up next to you and thinks he's all that ?

Well I am not one to race on the street from stop light to stop light. I know how my car will perform, and I don't need to prove it to some young kid.:cents:

Pretty simple, you wave. If they wave at you first, you wave back.

Car guys are car guys.... no matter what kind of car they drive. Life is too short to not be friendly to another car guy... or another person for that matter.

The kids for the most part just don't know what they are. Give them the nod and be nice. Ya can push the clutch in and just give it a little rev. Might get a new friend or some good conversation going?? No reason to jeopardize anyone.

How true is that? A few months ago I took my car to Les Schwab and had the front alignment done after I installed new front end bushings. The kid mechanic (21 yrs old) said he had never seen a Roadrunner and didn't know what one was. He inquired how fast it was and what I had done to it and he was really stoked about it. He was pretty cool up until he stated to tell me how he owns a 2013 Ford GT with this and that and blah blah blah. After 5 minutes of nodding and saying "yes" and "wow" I asked him if his mustang was the one in the front of the shop? He said not that one, and pointed just to the left at another one lol.... Dime a dozen!!!

You would be surprised, just smile or wave, let them get the ticket. Not worth losing the car in an accident, or license for reckless driving, or getting a ticket for excessive horse power.

Dad was out in my first '69 once. Kid pulled up beside him at as redlight and reved his engine up on his ricer.Dad ignored him, but the kid kept at it. So Dad reved his, and when the light changed, rice boy peeled out. What he hadn't seen was the State Trooper a few cars back.......:lock:
