The prints I have show a two wire extra connector for the back up light circuit on "Hemi" cars.
But not on other cars.
"C" and "D" at the top plug on the engine side.
I have rewired other cars and realize the prints were "generic" back then.
So no big deal.
Just struck me and thought I'd share to see if anyone else found this.

I have yet to find the "tach" on these supposedly factory prints.
I better look again just to be sure.
And the "console" part is MIA as well.
One thing not helpful on all the Chrysler prints is the windshield wiper motor.
There is always a plug but the internals of the motor are just an afterthought.
And the first turn signal prints I've seen that show the switch functions are the 70s A body..

Look at the upper right hand corner of the "Hemi" print. That's the correct wiring even if it is not showing on the other print. It's a mall, separate harness that gets added to the main dash harness. Coil connection runs through the firewall via a grommet. Power to the tach comes off the back of the fuse block.

The "Instrument" prints don't show anything about a "tach" to help inboard of the firewall.
(Or a "console".)

The following ARE NOT for a Road Runner, but illustrate the shortcomings I was ranting about.
(Wires are my life, so I'm allowed and forgiven?)

THIS FIRST ONE IS FROM THE 74 A BODY.
Note how they finally show the mysterious inner workings of the enigmatic turn signal switch.
Of course, the circuit spreads out over 350 pages so you have to flip around to follow it.

Untitled.jpg

I made a "simplified" TURN SIGNAL circuit drawing for a 67 B body.
Reads much easier.
THIS IS NOT A ROAD RUNNER EITHER.

Next I show some of the 69 prints for comparison.
What goes on in the turn signal switch?

2.jpg

I have yet to see a print that shows an accurate depiction of a wiper motor internals.
(I know Chrysler had 24 different possible wiper motor configurations on each car line.)
The factory manual for 67 just has some test points in it for the switch.
Not much help, sometimes.
This is a B body I worked on to show the way it should be done.
Well, almost.
I would like to see the motor winding shown as well.
But then again, that's asking a lot.

Now that we are talking about wiring. Just tried to order my windshield wiper motor harness from year one. They aske me if my runner was produced before 68 Nov. 15 or after. I told the guy I don't know. But I do know it took the early hood and not the later 69 hood. So how can I tell with out a fender tag. Is their away with the vin number to know early or late. Appreciate the info.

IDK about finding when your car was produced.
But you understand that the difference in wiring must be exactly what is in post 4.
Whether it has a connector in it or not?
Right?
