What Color were the Call Outs on 69

The Top Plates on the Raised Hood Call outs, on non air grabber hoods are they body color?, My Plates no longer show any paint on them, I can see some black around the edges. Whats correct

Just checked Classic's book Flat black is the Original color. Ok buddy.

Definitely matte black
