Wheels & Tires ordered.

Well, I ordered my Cragar SS Wheels and BF Goodrich Radial T/A's this afternoon. I have a question about fitment.

I realize the "stock" backspace was 4.5" front and back on the 69 RR. As it turns out, the wheels I wanted are not made with a 4.5" backspace. After talking to my bodyshop guy and the tech on the phone at Jeg's; they both agreed that the following combo will work fine:

Front: 15x7 with 4.00" backspacing using P235/70SR15 tires

Rear: 15x8 with 4.25" backspacing using P275/60R15 tires.

Please let me know what you think.

Also ordered the Firm Feel Stage 2 PS box today.

I'm running the following with no issues:

Front: 15" x 7" with 3.5" backspacing using P225/70R15s

Rear: 15" x 8" with 4.25" backspacing using P275/60R15s

I think you'll be fine.

Thanks Ray, glad to hear it. I was a bit worried. The guy at Jeg's said that a 4.5 backspace for a stock car is a LOT of backspace and wondered how the fronts could turn from lock to lock without rubbing.

I've heard a lot of good things about the Firm Feel, looking forward to it.

That will be a great combo I think. 235/70 on front really fills it up nicely.
