I am new to restorations and new to the MOPAR world, but am restoring a 1969 Roadrunner. Although not even born in 1969, my father-in-law (who has since passed away-RIP) told me about his growing up and how much he loved that car! I recently purchased mine in hopes of restoring it in a similar fashion to what he had, while keeping it as original as possible. I was able to find the build sheet on my car F5 (limelight), 4-speed, 383 car with 36,800 original miles and mostly original parts.

Make Dad in law proud

Welcome from San Clemente.
Keep us up to date on the resto and challenges you are facing.
Most of us have been through just about anything you might encounter during the restoration so ask us anything.
oh yes.
We will need some runner porn pics to keep our interest "up".

Little Help with Seats

I know I am new to the thread, but since everyone seems very knowledgeable I know the seats currently in my RR are not original...but could someone please tell me what year(s), my seats would be from? (I believe '72-'74 mopar?) Also, could someone please tell me if the seat tracks are from a '69 or are they from the newer seats that they are currently on...? I am trying to figure out if I will need tracks along with seats...Thanks for any information everyone can share!

I think you're right about '72-'74. was your car an original bucket seat car? easy way to tell is to look under the car, and see if there are small metal plates where the seats bolt up (near the trans tunnel.) Usually I've seen seats with tracks for sale, so that shouldn't be a problem, and you should be able to sell those seats, but shipping can be pricey unless you can hit a swap meet. I'd say the tracks on those seats are not '68/'69. Good looking project! I'd tuck that #s 383 away for safe keeping and have fun with the 440!

yes it was an original bucket seat car with center console. when i bought it and brought it home i was lucky enough to find the build sheet under the back seat! thankfully they didnt put it under the fronts or it would be long gone! i am hoping to hit carlisle, pa spring swap meet and hopefully mopar grand nationals to see what fun stuff i can come up with. As for the seats I currently have, I was hoping to be able to trade them at a swap meet or list on craigslist locally to do exactly what you said! thanks guys for all the info!
