Engines out

I have the Milodon also. Your engine looks NICE, bet it sounds awesome. A big difference from old engine. In a week it will be slow again. LOL
Its best to do it right the 1st time.

Yep got to give it to ya. The darn thing looks grate. Hope you got the power you where looking for. Show you have the rite stuff enjoy and think of the Runner brother still working on his. Russ. :kartman: Man did you see that motor. Wow It look cool !!!!!

Cheers. Budget kinda blew out abit so it looks like a couple of quiet months ahead HA! Ended up ordering a Milodon 6 quart from Summit. 440's are like hen's teeth down here, so there aren't too many parts available. Price was good but shipping is killing me!

After cracking the sump, ended up putting the stock one back on, as well as the previous 850 Edelbrock carb and mallory dizzy for the break-in 1000kms, mainly because that setup ran no problem. Just wanted to eliminate too many variables going wrong.

But no leaks and smooth as silk - so far. The guy really did a (meticulouslyanal) good job. Full respect to any of you out there who have attempted something of this scale in your own garage!

milodon also makes a pan which extends to the sides rather than deep
ended up ordering the 30761 - deep part of the pan extends abit further forward and back, rather than the bat-wing design. actually looks like a stocker, which i like.

that's what mine has. thought it was stock till the first time I changed the oil and there wasn't anything showing up on the dipstick after 6 quarts, then I got the ruler out.

Ive put up about 700 miles since the rebuild. Decided to redo the headers (and exhaust) before putting a new ingition system in, as they were burning through a couple of my plugs, and clanging against just about everything under the bonnet.

Should have her back in a couple of days, pics and hopefully videos soon!

Tried to post the bideo, but says its too large.

thanks to everyone for all your help, she's really purring now

thanks guys. i built it to drive, definitely could have squeezed out a few more ponies, but i really wanted something that i can sit in and drive across the country - while doing burnouts!

Credit to Wayne from A1 Automotive in Miranda, really did a great job with the engine!
