Hi folks,

Just curious as to most people’s thoughts on build according to fender tag options? I have no broadcast sheet so that’s all I got.

So here’s my dilemma, I like the look of the traverse and deck lid stripes but my car has the v88 delete. Still looks good but........ Do you build it the way you want it? Or stay true to the tag? I think the obvious thing to do is get another with a standard optioned deck lid stripe and the optional $15 v6y traverse dust trails that are now $200!

Good advise, part of me wants to put thing to the way they left factory correct but I’d be happier if it was the way I want it. I ordered the black reflective deck lid stripe. Still wrapping my head around ordering the 200 usd traverse stripes. That’s lots in cad haha

I've thought about this too. I leaning towards keeping it at least modified from stock with the options that could have been ordered.

Think how you would have ordered the car when it was new, and any day 2 mods you would have done. for me, its no different. Your car. Your way.

I keep toying with that same question. No black out hood stripes on mine, but I really like them (and would probably do better at shows with them). With only a few modifications, she's pretty much as she was delivered. Part of me say's, leave it be (as per the fender tag). The other part of me say's damn she'd look so much nicer wit those black out stripes.

I tried to keep mine per the Fender Tag, I really did, until I found that damn OEM Air Grabber unit.

When I bought my car it didn't have the hood stripes or vinyl roof. We determined that it did have the vinyl and since I've always liked them I reinstalled it. I also liked the hood stripes but with it being a Lynch Road car the fender tag didn't show that it had it but since it was a factory option I had the stripes painted on. I think it made a big difference in the appearance of the car.

I supplied the vinyl material and had both things done while he had the car. IIRC it was around $700, but this was about 8 years ago.

The good thing about vinyl stripes, if you don 't like them or want to go back to the way it was built someday, they can be removed without any damage to paint. So I say go for it.
