Oil under intake

Hi everyone!
I am already in need of advice as I am new to this Roadrunner. I found oil leaking onto the valley pan. I did some thread searches here and tightened the end bars on the valley pan. I took it for a drive and still find some oil leaking. Before I pull the intake off, would you first try snugging the intake bolts??
383, Edelbrock aluminum intake, Holley 4 barrel, I was told the engine was rebuilt in 2005 without many miles since rebuild.

I would pressure wash first to see if you got it on the first try cause oil runs especially while driving then go from there

Did you check the valve cover gasket's to see if they are loose. Do you have an oil pressure gauge with line running from motor. Some times they leak in the fitting at motor. Good luck hope it is something simple. now where did I put that beer !!!!

With everything it always is something simple we just have to find it nothing is ever really complicated not anymore than we make it

I cleaned up the intake, oil pressure sending unit is below intake, I will check the valve cover bolts. I won't have a chance to drive it again until Saturday. I will let you know. Thanks for the input!

I have the same set up and the same "problem". It was rather oily when I bought it, but the guy I bought it from neglected it. I wiped it out simply by pushing a towel through and pulled it out the other end. I tightened the manifold bolts, just to double check them and be sure. Valve covers are sealed with RTV. There is still a very light oil film that I have to wipe down once or twice a season. Not enough to consider a problem. Sounds like yours may be "leaking" while mine is just "seepage". I'd snug down the manifold first and see if that helps.

Thanks Ranger! Yes, mine is not leaking bad, I just noticed this the other day. I will check my manifold bolts and give them a gentle, extra tweek then. Thanks for your input!

Some motor's if their not leaking something their not running. In general these are old motor's. Once in a while it pay's to recheck bolt's and fastener's. Think the service manual on the site would give you and idea when to do these check up's. Good luck my man and keep on Running runner.

Update: After snugging up the end bars on the valley cover, I cleaned up any residual oil and test drove the car twice this past weekend. It appears the leak is no longer there---success!

Change spark plugs and thermostat. Just had new tires mounted and new mufflers with cross pipe to balance.

At A Boy. Nothing like getting the old hand's dirty. Sometimes a simple fix just by a few turn's of the wrench.

You might want to snug up the pan bolts. I was able to reach all of them with an open end wrench and without jacking the car. I was surprised at how loose they had gotten.
