Does anyone have any tips for removing the backseat out of a 70 Roadrunner? I've tried pushing the bottom section back (towards the trunk) then pulling up with no success. Any advice would be appreciated.

You may have to use a pry bar under neath the front part to see where the hook is and see if you can get it out in the front first till you can see what’s going on I mean that’s what I would do

The hooks can be a real pain to get loose. As Bob said, push down and back hard to clear that hook in the slot. Clear that and comes out easy from there

Down and back. Might have to put you knee on it to push back. Bracket is about 9 inches from the side panel on both side's. :kartman: You got it out yet!!!!!!!???????

I wasn't able to remove my rear seat until I removed the front. Then put my back against the dash and my feet on the seat and pushed really hard. It wasn't easy.

Thanks for the tips, guys. I finally got it.

When installing the seats, do I install the back rest first then the bottom cushion, or visa versa?
