question is their a return spring on the brake pedal assembly also is their one on the clutch pedal. I did not see one when taking it apart. but noticed a place where one might go on both pedals. I have the big spring on the clutch side. Well was just asking. Looked through the manual provided here but did not see any thing their either. Russ.

What style of pressure plate do you plan on using
69hemibeep It is a Ram Clutches brand. Fin type pressure plate. Figured I was not going to race it and it is only a 383 motor. So what do you think of this type of pressure plate. I like the three finger type dog clutch for racing.

He is asking because if it is a diaphragm style you need to leave the overcenter spring out.

Ok. Do you guy's think it would be better to get a different type clutch and pressure plate. Or do you think this one will work fine. I can leave the spring out if needed. I know a lot of cars ran for years with the diaphragm type pressure plate. When we had the 440 in the duster we had clutch chatter and burnt up the clutch. Also bent the fins on the pressure plate. Just asking. Thought I would try this and if it did not work would beef it up later. Thanks for any info. Russ.

Either pressure plate is fine just leave the over center spring out with the diaphram.
